Atlanta Braves
The Atlanta Braves play out of Turner Field in downtown Atlanta Georgia. They are coached by Bobby Cox and have won nine NL pennants and 3 World Championships. Hammering Hank Aaron is the home run king and played for the Atanta Braves until 1976, he retired with 755 career home runs. Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons are the 2004 NFC Champions. They are owned by former Home Depot co-founder Arthur Blank and they play out of The Georgia Dome in downtown Atlanta. Built in 1990, the Georgia Dome seats more than 70,000 and includes 203 suites. More Info..
Georgia Aquarium
The new Georgia Aquarium is coming in late 2005! In May 2003 ground was broken to start one of Atlanta’s most ambitious projects. Thanks to a generous gift from Bernie Marcus, co-founder of The Home Depot, the Georgia Aquarium will be one of the largest and most exciting aquariums in the world, featuring more than 55,000 animals from 500 different species in over 5 million gallons of water. The Georgia Aquarium is located in downtown Atlanta, next to the new World of Coca-Cola, and across the street from CNN Center, the Georgia World Congress Center, Centennial Olympic Park and Imagine It! Zoo Atlanta
Zoo Atlanta consists of nearly 703 specimens, representing 199 species of animals from all over the world, living in natural environments. Stone Mountain
